The question here is when we have so much to live for, are we really living?? Moving from nonessentials to essentials; the question is not of actions but of depth. Trivial things from morning to evening. And then you are tired of it, then you go to sleep, and in the morning you are again ready to do the same non-essentials. A 9:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m. job or a ten hour working schedule will definitely increase the digits on your pay-in slip, but will make you absolutely nothing as an individual...As a HUMAN. The moment you question yourself, “What am I doing?” you feel so depressed, absolutely useless that your ego is lost. And because the ego can feel significant only when you are doing something significant; in ignorance of your daily work everything becomes nonessential. Even when you pray, it cannot be deeper than when you read a newspaper or for that matter, when we-aspiring engineers of today’s time read (trying to study, hardly able to :P) our syllabus. Here it is not a question for prayer, I feel it is a question of YOU. If you have depth then no matter whatsoever you do, wherever you go, the act will have depth which will be reflected in the results (Yes! Relate it with exams as well :P). The reason why our generation or today’s youth is facing so many problems is because we are not one. We have become fragmented within ourselves. Our problems have arisen because of our chaotic lifestyle which is not in harmony at all! When was the last time you discovered yourself smiling with genuine happiness and joy within yourself (and not in front of a mirror for clicking a selfie from your tab or BB (;p). I wonder if any of us these days even smile at each other or for that matter, other people in the society whom we travel with, in buses or trains!! The answer here would definitely be a NO. Because we have become so introvert, that we have found innumerable reasons to indemnify ourselves from almost everything in our own way. In short, we just don’t give a damn! Life is a challenge to growth. It gives you a great challenge to be more than what you are, provided you possess that wisdom and courage to face it and accept it with dignity. Being students our priorities shouldn’t be only gaining marks but also knowledge and developing that excellence within ourselves. But mind you, this is not achieved by studying one night before the exams or by mugging up stuff before and during vivas. We need to understand the purpose of anything and everything we do, so as to present it to the best of our potentials. For life has to be a continuous movement upwards! Being into engineering, we are known as “Robot like”. Renouncing this mechanical way of living, we ‘ought to be a seeker! The ones who live their whole lives!! For all my fellas who are shy of speaking up their thoughts, if and only if we remain open to all the adventures of life; we shall experience new surpri
