Treasure Hunt
Ever driven by curiosity of what a clue might hold, or by the idea of finding riches that was hidden
from the world for almost as long as a century or at-times even older! Do you crave adventures and
challenges and particularly enjoy the rush of adrenalin through your system while taking on those
challenges? Does the idea of being crazy and finding an opportunity to live crazy appeal to you?
Then you have almost all the makings of a Treasure hunter!
Last Utsav, Shree L R Tiwari College organized a mini treasure hunt with all its adventures, tasks,
excitement, craziness and ecstasy. Around 25 teams registered for the event, and the anticipation
and excitement was maddening. It was an inter college event, so people from colleges across
Mumbai registered. All teams with a group of 4 or 5 members, assembled in a class for the pre-event
speech, screaming at the top of their voice with exhilaration! The sight was breathtaking.
The organizing team worked tirelessly for weeks to get the hunt into action. Planning and designing
the tasks and laughing our wits out imagining the contestants performing them.
We interviewed the winners, a team of BE IT from
our college, Amit Shah who as it sounded in the
interview was a constant motivator in the team,
Jayesh Patil-the dancer who urged the team to
keep their calm, Mihir Shah a supportive member
and an active runner to maintain the lead, Vatsal
Desai the brains of the team who cracked most of
the clues with the teams support, and last but not
the least Upasana Yadav a dazzlingly pretty girl,
who did 10 push-ups along with other difficult
tasks and was constantly looking out to see if any
competing team was nearby! All in all it was a well-earned, hard-worked victory.
The hunt started with all the 25 teams running with their arms stretched at their sides moving in a
wave motion reciting ‘I am Fabulous/ I am pretty’.
Almost all the teams got different clues pointing
them towards different locations in the vicinity.
Most of the teams were running towards their first
clue and some running all the time during the
hunt. The format was simple with 2 rounds, all
teams had to interpret the clue, find the location
and do a task specific to that location. The first
round was deliberately simple and lead to an
eliminator, after which only 8 teams were
supposed to continue to round two. They were
initially provided with a piece of map which was the first piece in the puzzle of a 3 piece map.
