Beginning with the Dolce & Gabbana advertisement, there are many key physical aspects of the image that get the point of the advertisement across. For starters, there are four oiled men who appear to be quite muscular and handsome, something many men strive for. Two of these men are naked and the rest are proceeding to undress. This advertisement gets interesting when you pay close attention to the naked man holding down the attractive partially naked women front and center. The woman is somewhat resisting but in a sexual and kinky manner. It is apparent that she desires this sexual act to occur but continues to put up some resistance.

The rest of the men want this sex to occur and are circled around the attractive man

to have their way with her.

literally suggesting the

onset of a gang rape and makes the situation seem seductive to the audience. What is their purpose for doing this though? A product is being promoted that is meant to attract men and stimulate their sexual interests. The underlying qualities men are urged to exemplify within society, aggressivenss, dominance, sexuality, and strength, are being marketed to. Advertisers are showing viewers how they can obtain these qualities through dominating women and more importantly purchasing their product, cologne. What is this saying to the men viewing this ad?
