When creating this range plan I considered so many things. I wanted to make everything absolutely relatable from the theme of being worn in a city to the location of a city to
the Colours being composed harmlessly with the summer months. Everything needed to be perfect. I was thoroughly pleased with the final outcome of it all.
I found whilst doing my range plan that going that little bit further and developing my designs provided a more extensive vision for people to understand what I wanted my
clothing to look like exactly. It allowed people to understand my idea. In addition to this, with adding colour to my designs made them come to life so much more and people
can now see my colour palette put to work properly with colour combinations in my designs. Alongside my designs, I also provided current trend styles which allowed me to
know what these designs would look like on, not exactly, but a rough idea and made it easier to visualise and I felt it was a good touch. When making my competitive shop
report it really helped me. I say this because it allowed me to compare to competitors pricing points etc and that’s one thing it really helped me with. The pricing points.
Many things could have worked out better. One of them being that, I could have developed the designs further but doing so on adobe illustrator was very hard an in some
designs I did like them how they were. Although, yes I could have made some more personal changes. In additional this point, there was parts of me that wished I did a
second colour palette to create more variety and some of the colours didn’t go well together so it would have been much more beneficial for me to use more colours in my
collection by doing a second colour palette.
Whilst doing my range plan there was also some challenges that I faced that prevented further progression. Finding a computer at home was still a challenge so I only had one
for limited amount of times and my iPad was very hard to use in this creative section of my project. This lead to limited development. Secondly, I used adobe illustrator to
create and modify these design developments. It was so complicated and hard, probably the most complicated creative software ever. This provided me with a major
challenge when developing my designs, so that lead to limited development on some designs.
If I was to do my range plan again there would be some things I would change or do. One of them would be, to make a second colour palette. This would have provided a
larger variation of colour in the collection and would be more detailed. Secondly, I would be less adventurous with the colour palette, some of the colours were to bright and
even though I liked them and felt they looked good I’m not sure if others would. Lastly, I would definitely develop my designs further if I was under better circumstances.
Other than them next steps I was pleased with the outcome despite the problems I faced.
