A
fter I finished my media degree at Southampton Solent University, I was elected as one of the Vice Presidents of the
Students’ Union. Like in that episode of Fresh
Meat, if the students want cheaper chips, it’s in
your best interest to see if that’s possible, and
do whatever you can to make that a reality.
That experience has embedded in me a trait
that will always want to listen and grow. I’m
quite proud of issue 4, and all the contributors
over the last month.
Download Festival was a recent voyage. We
D
set ourselves the normal festival coverage
target, not taking into account how large a
festival Download is, and how much more
time you spend on your feet, and traveling
between bands. At first this was a bit of a
shock to the system, but at no point did Marcus, Nathalie, or myself loose any passion for
coverage - in fact being in that festival environment makes you want to do more. It’s safe
to say we worked our asses off!
If you have read the previous issues, you may notice a few changes here and there. We have taken feedback
on board, and implemented. We start as we mean to go on, and hope to grow with every issue.
As I write this, Milly is at 2000trees festival - look out for the coverage online soon. Once this is printed, I shall
