RAMzine Issue 3 - June 2015 | Page 3

Contents Featured WELCOME R AMzine has been a great journey so far. It’s been tough at times, but it has also been very exciting. We are still very much in our early days as I see it - however support from readers and the music industry at times has been overwhelming. We have been very fortunate to cover some great bands and we strive to bring great content each year. Some years it seems that venues have become emptier and that people are less willing to part ways with some dosh for music. T year feels different, it feels like This we are about to embark on a really exciting future in music. I write this sat in my tent at Breaking Bands Festival in Stoke. The festival is in it’s very first year, and has sold out weeks in advance. I have seen some extremely good new talent this weekend, and even had the privilege of interviewing some new bands for the first time. This festival is the start of hopefully many more small festivals, to support the masses of local talent that is on offer. There is lots of great new music out there waiting for you to discover, if you check out even one of the bands mentioned in this issue, then that is a job well done for us here at RAMzine. This month we will cover the very contrasting in comparison, Download Festival. Look out for coverage in our July issue! We are heading down on the Wednesday to make the most of the atmosphere, and in the hope that we meet lots of new fellow Rock and Metal fans! See you there!
