RAMSEY and FEN 20 QUESTIONS - EXLUSIVE TO NICE 'n' EAZY | Page 6

6 QUESTION Early 1998 saw the release of BUG 003 to which those in the know will recognize as the infamous ‘Love Bug’ which featured the unforgettable vocals of Lynsey Moore. This was to become a firm crowd favorite for many years to come. In the year 2000 this was then signed and released via the North West London based Nebula Records. Both releases saw ‘Love Bug’ enter in to the National Charts with the year 2000 release peaking the highest of both at No.75 in the June of that year. Could you ever have imagined the impact this record would have on the underground scene and the mainstream market? Do you still find people requesting this record during your current sets? ANSWER The sole purpose of Love Bug when we made it was to try and cross over from the underground to mainstream, which as you say we did. The industry was a dangerous place in those days and I think the record could have done much better in the charts, but every man and his dog tried to steal it for nothing, so we were nervous to sign and continued to sell under Bug Records.
