The Star Spangled Banner will be performed
this afternoon by The Jacksonville
Symphony. The Jacksonville Symphony is
one of Northeast Florida’s most important
cultural institutions. Founded in 1949, the
Symphony is ranked among the nation’s
top regional orchestras. The Symphony’s
home, Robert E. Jacoby Hall, is considered
to be an acoustic gem. Each year thousands
enjoy the Symphony’s performances both at
Jacoby Hall in the Times-Union Center for
the Performing Arts and at venues located
throughout Northeast Florida.

supported by an outstanding maintenance
team which completed over 19,200
maintenance actions over the course of
47,500 man-hours.

Performing today’s fl yover is the War Eagles
of Patrol Squadron (VP) 16. VP-16 begun
their transition back to Naval Air Station
Jacksonville in early October after a highly
successful seven month deployment to the
SIXTH Fleet area of responsibility (AOR),
attached to Commander Task Force 67.
While the squadron primarily operated out of
Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily, Italy, VP-
16 also supported 43 detachments across 15
countries including Spain, Scotland, Iceland,
Norway, Greece, France, Germany, Denmark,
Lithuania, and Ukraine. VP-16 worked to
improve interoperability with NATO allies
and deter aggression across the AOR, as

For today’s halftime entertainment, the
Jacksonville Jaguars proudly present the
one and only Bethune Cookman University
Marching Wildcats. The only band that’s
guaranteed to show-up, and show-out,
anywhere and anytime. This year’s edition
of the Marching Wildcats boasts a band with
approximately 300 members. Recognized
as “The Heartbeat of BCU,” the band has
performed at many events in the last
decade, including numerous Jaguars games,
the FedEx Orange Bowl Parade in Miami, the
movie “DRUMLINE” and Super Bowl XLIII in
Tampa.
