Welcome and thank you for attending William S . Hart High School ’ s 37th Annual Rampage Field Show Competition . It feels fantastic to be back !
We are so excited to have this opportunity to bring you one of the largest live music events in Santa Clarita . As you watch and listen to the bands perform here today , I am sure you will recognize why Rampage is a highlight of the marching season . Bringing back a tournament of this magnitude is not easy after a long hiatus , and we would not be able to do that without our long-standing relationship with the College of the Canyons and the use of these incredible facilities .
Rampage has been an extraordinary community event for 37 years . The support of businesses and individuals from across the valley makes it possible to bring you this exceptional tournament . Please take a moment today to thank the volunteers and vendors you may run into or pass by for their generous contributions . The combination of their hard work makes Rampage one of the premier marching tournaments in Southern California .
Today when you watch these students perform on the field , you see people who have dedicated themselves to an activity that instills tolerance , self-esteem , discipline , teamwork , and a lifelong appreciation of the arts . I encourage you to applaud every ensemble as if it were your own , for every student here deserves a supportive audience for the enormous amount of time , effort , and talent they put into their craft .
Lastly , I would like to offer my deepest and sincerest thank you to every person , be it family , staff , faculty , or friend , who helps make today , and every day , happen for the students . Thank you to the teachers who share their vast knowledge , administrators who give their unending support , and every amazing parent . I speak on behalf of every director that without our parents who sell , sew , cook , build , carry , pack , drive , chaperone , and cheer like we are the best band ever to be assembled , we could not provide the programs we do . The impact of the teaching and encouragement provided by all of us has a hand in shaping our world by creating tomorrow ’ s leaders and visionaries . We are grateful for your continued contribution to this activity .
