Railway School Journal May 2014 | Page 3

Dear readers,

In front of you is the first issue of our new e-magazine Railway Journal. We launched it with the idea to provide students of the Railway Technical School with opportunities to practice English, to enhance language skills and to share their experiences with others. We also hope that it would be interesting to teachers and parents as well and that they would join us in creating this e-magazine in the future.

Some issues will focus on specific topic (like this one), while others will cover events that students of our school take part in – competitions, sport events, field trips, workshops, visits to museums, galleries and theaters and other extra-curricular activities. We will also have interviews with students, teachers, parents and other people who are important for our education.

This first issue is devoted to the amazing study tour that took place in March 2014. Students and teachers of our school spent six memorable days in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. We are bringing to you their reflections and impressions, as well as some wonderful photos which illustrate how interesting this tour was. We also look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions.

We wish you enjoyable reading!
