Vienna

The third European capital we visited on our study tour was Vienna. We started the walk around the capital of Austria from the Hofburg Castle. One part of this complex is now the residency of the Austrian president, while the other part includes museums and various conference and ceremony halls. It also contains libraries, a treasury and even a horse riding school. After hearing many interesing stories about the history of Vienna and Hofburg itself, we went for a walk down Ring Road, the most famous street of Vienna. We the building of Vienna State Opera, which is one of the most prominent opera houses in the world, as well as Burgtheater and the Museum of Natural History. All these buildings are really magnificient and we were all very impressed by them.

Unfortunately, we did not have time to go to the famous park Prater. We only saw, from afar, one of the symbols of the Austrian capital – the famous carousel. Although we spent only a few hours in Vienna, it was enough to raise our curiousity and wish to come to this city again and find out all of its secrets.
