Geotechnical surveys
As of 2 December 2014 Geotechnical surveys and formation of
the company is being carried on for the implementation of the
project. Update : Subsequently, in the Cabinet meeting held on 18 Jan-
uary 2017, the decision was taken for incorporation of changes
and recast of DPR (Phase-I) for Rail-based MRTS.

27, Dec, 2016 sanctioned an amount of Rupees Rs 14500 crore

Project Description :
Greater Gwalior Metro Rail is a proposed rapid transit system
for the city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh in India. The project was
announced by state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on
October 17, 2014.
The survey has been started.

versity, Pandu Ghat etc. to be taken up for Metro connec-
tion in the first phase.
The DPR work for the extension corridor will be started
soon.
