What makes Indo - Japanese collaboration so
successful? Besides Infrastructure, What are the
other areas where you find scope of co-operation
and how can these companies collaborate
further?
Both India and Japan complement each other very well.
Japan with its low cost capital and safe+clean technology,
and India with its growth potential and globally adept
human resource. Manufacturing from steel to electronics
is a major area where our collaboration is a must for
both the countries. Cyber security and AI collaboration is
also a must given the trust both the countries have with
each other as well as from the rest of the world as two
democracies with freedom of speech and rule of law.
Railways is now a Sunrise Sector of India. How
do you view the recent developments in Indian
Railways with multiple projects such as High
Speed Rail Projects, Metro Projects etc and other
modernization plans announced by the Ministry?
We will see accelerated growth in near future as we under
go capacity development through first few projects like
Delhi Metro and MAHSR. The first few projects will also
set best practices examples and precedences which will
make the financial, political and land acquisition processes
also easier.
