138. HARRY J. SUNTER (NEW YORK, MASSACHUSETTS 1850-1900) “MENDING THE NETS”, oil
on canvas, signed lower left Sunter ’85, in original frame. 27 in. x 40 in.
Note: Rafael Osona Auctions sold an oil on canvas by Harry J. Sunter 02 August 1997 for $24,200 which was
inscribed on the stretcher: “A Sand Beach, South Beach, Nantucket, Massachusetts, 1885”. It is our opinion that this
canvas also painted by Sunter in 1885 may be a Nantucket view.
