Hancock was born in St. Louis, MO and studied both at the School of Fine Arts at Washington
University and at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine arts under Charles Grafly. His works can be
found in many places including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, The Library of Congress
and in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C.
