Specialist Training
Next, you will undertake the demanding Junior Regiment Officers’ Course( JROC) which is 26 weeks of tough ground close combat training.
Your fitness will step up a level as you are taught how to operate in austere environments; commanding and leading Gunners whilst protecting the RAF.
Building on your individual skills you will progress to Section / Multiple level and end up leading a flight of some 30 Gunners.
What you achieve on JROC will live with you for the rest of your lives. The friendships forged will last a lifetime and you will have been fortunate enough to have shared experiences with people from many different backgrounds.
RAF Regiment training is a real test of character, determination and the will to succeed. By the end of the course, you will be physically and mentally robust ensuring that you can deliver Force Protection around the Globe, operating with state of the art equipment.
You will take tough decision and lead men and women in the face of adversity. The training is hard and there will be periods of self doubt; but you will be prepared by the very best instructors – trust them, they are there to help you reach your full potential in the RAF.
