RAF MEDIC

The specialisation of Medical Officer is part of the Medical Services Profession within the RAF, which also includes Medical Officer, Nursing Officer, Dental Officer and Medical Support Officers( Mainstream),( Environmental Health),( Physio) and( Pharmacy). Registered Nurse( Mental Health), Registered Nurse( Adult), Environmental Health Practitioner, Operating Department Practitioner, Biomedical Scientist, Radiographer Pharmacy Technician, Dental Nurse and Student Nurse.

Professions in the RAF are distinct areas of defence expertise where common skills and attributes are required to deliver on demand. Whilst Service Personnel can expect to spend the majority of their career in their chosen Specialisation they may be employed in any of the Specialisations within their Profession: this will depend upon aptitude, qualifications, career aspirations and the Service need.
