My Serve

Welcome to the fi rst issue of 2017 . The ERSA Symposium is getting close . We only have a couple of places left and some members are still debating whether to come or not . I have as a Coach , Stringer , Shop Owner always tried to attend as many conferences as possible . I always found it was great meeting new people in the industry and and always learned many new things from the presentations . Half of the attendees this year have attended three or four Symposiums already . Most are shop owners and pro tour stringers . You can always fi nd reasons not to attend but even the top stringers in the world have told us they learn new things every year and keep coming back . There are many other workshops , meeting and conferences that I would recommend . Anything that has to do with your interests or business . This issue contains an article on volleys by Gabe Jaramillo for our members who play and coach tennis . Gabe was head coach at Nick Bolletieri Acadamy for years and now runs the Club Med Academy at Sandpiper Bay .
Also featured in this issue are the new HEAD Graphene Touch Instinct rackets along with the new HEAD Adaptive rackets . We had a large nember of members stringing in Melbourne at the 2017 Australian Open . An article and photos are included in this issue . We set a record of 5460 restrings in one tournement and the second record in a row in Melbourne .
ERSA is launching ERSA China this month . With this we will be expanding our badminton education and including a badminton and squash section in each issue of the magazine starting next month .
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Dusseldorf March 31 ! best regards
Mark Maslowski
