TRAINING CENTRE ADVANCES WITH FURTHER ACCREDITATION
By Benjamin Brits
The Ampair Taining Centre in Johannesburg has recently added QCTO accreditation to their status as they continue their drive to ensure quality services .
This latest approval with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations ( QCTO ) enhances their list of recognition at other institutes – namely : MerSETA , SARACCA and SAIRAC .
This positions the training center to offer short courses to industry such as the new national safe handling of refrigerants - released earlier this year . The step builds onto their existing scope of programs , apprenticeships and learnerships .

Historically , as primarily a service business in the HVAC sector ,
the training centre as part of the specialist design and supply business , was established in 2013 and initially only used for inhouse purposes . It was quickly realised , however , of the need to extend training outward as there continued to be skills shortage in the industry , but further to that , another major factor was an opportunity to uplift the local community . So from 2015 the net was dispersed wider .
Today , the training centre is able to service not only inhouse teams , but other contracting company ’ s teams , facility management providers , and even private clients .
“ The focus of our training centre is not merely to provide training , but to ensure a safe environment for every individual
