POWERSTAR SA
EYEING BUILT SECTOR
By Benjamin Brits
At the recent launch of their latest FT series at the equestrian club in Steyn City , RACA Journal was invited to learn about the value this range can offer the sector .
In his address , Rodney Selesnick , senior head of sales , Powerstar
SA – a brand of Everstar Industries , described a number of benefits of the new range to attendees , which included representatives of their principle , business partners , customers and the media . He also mentioned certain industries that would be well-suited to adopting these vehicles including contractors in the built environment .
With attractive base-pricing , as Selesnick described , even their 14-tonne FT is retailing for far less than the cost of an average double cab bakkie and he suggested that with these sorts of upfront benefits , business owners have been more inclined to invest capital into expanding or upgrading their fleets than purchasing what is technically a ‘ luxury vehicle ’.
The new range also promotes partnerships with big brand names such as Daimler and Cummins , revealing the quality of technology implemented within the new series that has already gained significant popularity in South Africa .

The equestrian centre was strategically used as a smart link to associate this range to their superior horsepower over competitors .
The FT5 has a turning radius of only 8.3 meters making it an ideal vehicle for urban areas while having a 5-tonne payload .
