This year , between 7 and 11 June , Interact Media Defined , owners of the RACA Journal , ran a FRIGAIR 2022 kickstart week to celebrate the relaunch of the show to now take place 1 – 3 June 2022 at Gallagher Convention Centre .

Conditioning ’ s ( SAIRAC ) premier events , the FRIGAIR expo is the largest dedicated HERVAC trade exhibition in Africa and dates back to 1980 . FRIGAIR takes pace every three years and has built a reputation unmatched by any other trade show of its kind .

Throughout the week , the HERVAC community shared in several email-newsletters showcasing participant ’ s products , services and even celebrations in the excitement to get the ball rolling to the long awaited next major industry gathering . SAIRAC also hosted two technical talks and had over 200 registrations over the two days . Although the untimely implementation of load shedding that was again handed to the country hindered , interest was still evident through the actual participation that followed .

HuntEx presented to the High Court that exhibitions are business events and not entertainment and should be given the same considerations as shopping malls and be allowed to trade with 50 % venue capacity . HuntEx won the court case and will take place in October this year at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand , with Covid safety protocols being observed .

With this outcome , the demonstration to role players that events of this nature can in fact be conducted safely and adhering to all regulations as further illustrated at the ‘ Restart Expo ’ delivered last year to key stakeholders , and the ongoing vaccination programme that now seems to be getting legs are all contributing to confidence in a successful 2022 event .

The proof is in the statistics and we are proud to reveal that during the week of the showcase ( at time of calculation ) we saw great support for the industry-at-large with over 20 800 page views in total – indicating to the organisers that sector participants are indeed eager to engage with suppliers and service providers through a single channel platform .
