SAIRAC CAPE TOWN HOSTS BUILDING REGULATIONS PRESENTATION
SAIRAC Cape Town hosted a two-part online building regulations presentation on 18 May and 08 June 2021 , with guest speakers Mr Pieter Koekemoer and Mr Marius Lourens from the City of Cape Town .

The engagement offered valued insight and guidance with regards to compliance with the SANS 10400 regulations , the National Building Regulations and the associated submission processes .
The presentation highlighted key procedures for changes and upgrades to existing buildings and the installation of HVAC equipment , as well as the responsibility of the HVAC practitioner in their advisement to customers and the requirement towards issuing a CoC ( Certificate of Compliance ).
Further guidance was also given in navigation of the City of Cape Towns website and the applicable documentational requirements towards submissions , as well as outlining the legislative framework with regards to Local Authority Building control and the association , guidelines and requirements set forth by the Department of Trade and Industry , as well as the NRCS ( National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications ) through the National building regulations .
