FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 is gathering momentum, with strong demand for exhibition space prompting organisers to secure additional floor space at the Cape Town International Convention Centre( CTICC).
With more than eight months still to go before the exhibition opens on 2 March 2027, the following six companies are the latest to confirmed their participation: BITZER, Testo, ebm-papst South Africa, Advantage Air Africa, VacServe and Danfoss. Further exhibitors are expected to be announced as preparations continue.
The Cape Town exhibition, taking place from 2 – 4 March 2027, represents the first step in FRIGAIR ' s expansion beyond Gauteng. A Durban edition is scheduled to follow, extending the exhibition ' s regional reach and creating additional opportunities for engagement with the HERVAC and cold chain sectors.
Both regional editions will be co-located with the Industrial Technology Exhibition, bringing complementary industries and technologies together and broadening the potential audience for exhibitors and visitors.
Owned by SAIRAC and organised by Interact Media Defined and Montgomery Group Africa, FRIGAIR has established itself as Africa ' s leading dedicated HERVAC exhibition. The expansion into regional markets reflects the importance of bringing manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, engineers, facility managers and end users together in the areas where they operate.
The early response in Cape Town is particularly significant given the strength of the Western Cape ' s refrigeration, cooling and temperature-controlled industries. Agriculture, food processing, export logistics, cold storage, retail and hospitality all rely heavily on refrigeration and HVAC technologies, while
continued investment in commercial property, healthcare, infrastructure and data centres is creating further demand for efficient cooling and environmental control systems.
For companies operating in the Western Cape and surrounding regions, FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 will provide an opportunity to engage directly with manufacturers, suppliers and technical specialists without the need to travel to Gauteng. Visitors will be able to explore new products and technologies, compare solutions, develop supplier relationships and engage with industry peers and experts.
The exhibition will also incorporate a SAIRAC workshop programme. While the final programme is still being developed, the workshops are expected to address practical industry issues, emerging technologies, best practice, regulatory developments and professional development within the HERVAC sector.
The regional focus is intended to ensure that FRIGAIR remains closely connected to the industries and market conditions driving demand in each province. In the Western Cape, the port, agricultural export and food-processing sectors provide a particularly strong foundation for refrigeration and cold chain technologies, while commercial and infrastructure development continues to create opportunities for HVAC.
The strong response to the Cape Town edition follows the industry ' s positive reception to FRIGAIR 2025 and reinforces the value of exhibitions that combine technical engagement, product innovation and business networking.
With additional exhibition space now secured and bookings continuing, companies interested in exhibiting are encouraged to make contact early while space remains available.
FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 will take place at the CTICC from 2 – 4 March 2027, bringing the HERVAC and cold chain industries together in one of South Africa ' s most important regional markets. RACA
