SAIRAC JOHANNESBURG ’ S CHRISTMAS IN JULY AND AGM

A wonderful time was had at the SAIRAC Johannesburg Centre Christmas in July and AGM dinner on 26 July 2024 .
About 60 people attended the SAIRAC Johannesburg ’ s Christmas in July and AGM . Gregory Grobelaar , SAIRAC Johannesburg chairman opened the festivities to announce a host of upcoming events with the highlight being the forthcoming Dreotsi Memorial Lecture on 3 September , and delivered his report of happenings over the year – noting the centre ’ s various technical talks and courses presented , their annual golf day .
Schalk Bezuidenhout provided the entertainment . He is a comedian from Kempton Park , and – as he describes himself – is a household name in all households that know his name .
Many of Johannesburg ’ s top HVAC & R companies were well represented as well as the SAIRAC Johannesburg committee and officials .
SAIRAC Johannesburg thanks those in the committee who went out of their way to promote the event and to all of those who attended because without their support their efforts would be in vain .
Grobelaar then asked winners to come to the front for the
Johannesburg Centre Awards .
• The Best Technical Talk Presenter of the year as voted for by the Johannesburg Centre Committee presented to Francois Schoombie .
• The most Diligent Centre member of the year as voted for by the Johannesburg Centre Committee presented to Michael Young .
• The Best Student Award studying Airconditioning or Refrigeration at a university , college , further education institution or SAIRAC enrichment courses as proposed by SAIRAC course lecturers and voted for by the Johannesburg Centre Committee presented to Matthew Erasmus .
• The Mike Veldon awarded to the SAIRAC Member who has contributed the most to SAIRAC over the past year ( Johannesburg Centre ): Gregory Grobbelaar .
• The past chairman certificate was awarded to Gregory Grobbelaar .
