Events and Exhibitions
The two institutes plan to further collaborate on the upcoming FRIGAIR 2022 event to be held in June of next year . ASHRAE acknowledges that the FRIGAIR event is wholly owned and successfully operated by SAIRAC and will assist in ensuring that the technical programme is internationally and locally planned and catered to .
Grant Laidlaw , SAIRAC national treasurer , delivered to members the financial aspects and standing of the institute from the national level , as well as the required protocols to be met by both regional and national centres . Details and notes around the financials were supplied including provisions and allocations for future costs . Laidlaw noted a reminder that should and member wish to have access to any financial statements this is made available at both regional and national level for transparency purposes . Members would need to visit the respective offices for this . In short , the institution was in a good overall financial position .
Pieterse then welcomed the new incoming committees , thanking the outgoing council members for their support and dedication over the past year as well as for going the extra mile for the institute and industry in general .

Pieterse invited ASHRAE-SA president Soluade to say a few words in his participation of the national AGM . Soluade noted that SAIRAC was indeed in a very good state overall . He mentioned that one of the key things that they have learned over the years in terms of ASHRAE is a call to service for the members . Once the council members are working together as a team , to achieve the goal becomes inevitable . The encouragement he offered was that when all hands are on deck everybody enjoys their participation and will do well . He wished all a successful year ahead .
Closing the AGM , Pieterse thanked everyone for their participation and wished all the best until meeting again at the planned 70 th celebration events . RACA
