SOLID INDUSTRY OUTLOOK

A s so many are preparing for this year ’ s FRIGAIR – whether visitors or exhibitors - and on the back of several successfully delivered exhibitions and conferences around South Africa , the mood of the industry is on a definite upward trajectory . It is clear that everyone is ready to embrace the well-loved face to face platforms once again !

Having travelled extensively of late and having visited some key development areas , almost all roleplayers have reported that business trading is improving , and others could boast that they have had their best years on record . The supply chain challenges that have been observed this year have seemingly been managed one way or another and clients ( generally ) have fortunately become more flexible under the circumstances – all good news .
This sets a solid outlook for the rest of the year and the additional stimulus that will be provided at the continent ’ s only dedicated HERVAC event that has been influencing these sectors since 1980 . We hope you are as keen to partake in this long-awaited experience – it now being four years since the last gathering . If you have any questions , please feel free to contact any of the team members that will gladly assist to ensure you have an awesome experience .
In this month ’ s issue we cover local and international news and trends that will shape the future of the industry in one way or another . We carry our regular contributors and also feature some technical articles .
As the FRIGAIR 2022 pre-show issue , read up about all of the companies that will be exhibiting . Also keep an eye on the dedicated FRIGAIR website and electronic communications around what you can expect to learn about through the SAIRAC free-to-attend workshops and SAIRAC arranged ASHRAE courses – all focused around this year ’ s event theme : natural refrigerants .
Our project is The Tyrwhitt , which encompasses several unique ducted solutions while managing required ventilation owing to the entire building being fed gas for cooking and leisure purposes , but also for the gas hot water generation plant . Our main feature of this issue is to showcase the exhibitors at this year ’ s FRIGAIR event and what you can expect to see and experience at their stand . As more exhibitors come onboard , these companies will be added to the various communications and marketing activities around the event so you can stay up to date with the latest information .
Our profile in this issue is on Tony Moodley , SARACCA KZN chair , who is passionate about training and believes that on the back of climate change the HVAC industry will boom – but only with the successful incorporation of more-efficient technology .
This month ’ s quote is geared at the mindset for ongoing success – even when things are already going well :
“ You may not be the richest , smartest or most talented person in the world , but you succeed because you keep going , and going , and going .” - Sylvester Stallone
As always I welcome your feedback and hope this publication is serving your needs – it ’ s all about what you want to read about after all , so I ’ m happy to hear about your suggestions , complaints or compliments to ensure RACA Journal continues to be a world-class product .
Have a super month ahead . I welcome your engagements and I look forward to meeting you at FRIGAIR 2022 this year . In the meantime , please feel free to contact me at any time with your news , ideas , contributions or projects you would like to share with the industry ! RACA
