AIRCO LAUNCHES
NEW PRODUCT LINE
irco invited suppliers and clients to update them on their
product offering at the Modderfontein Golf Club in March.
Managing director, Greg Ball, opened the proceedings sharing
a brief history of Airco, stating that this dates back to 1949. “We
have continued as a South African owned entity ever since.” He
shared some of the products it distributes locally and globally.
“Our range is a very broad and covers a lot of applications. We like
to be a solution-driven operation.”
Wayne Muller, national sales manager, shared more
information about some of the products it has in its stable. “The
reason our range is so wide is to give consultants a range of units
for any application to give clients the best solution for what they
are trying to achieve and to also give contractors the confidence
to elevate their businesses by offering alternative solutions
around energy, service and maintenance, and monitoring.”
Some of the products he went through were the unitary
units – suitable for light and commercial applications. Muller
also presented the Airco water heating solutions and air-cooled
rooftop package units, Fujitsu VRF inverter systems, Airwell VRF
DC inverter systems, a Clint chiller range, fan coil units and large
ducted DX blower systems, Montair close control systems and air-
cooled rooftop package units, and their thermal storage product
from Calmac.
He shared some of the projects at which the products have
been installed and are fully functional. The latest installation is at
the Capitec head office in Stellenbosch. “It has 23 Calmac tanks
offering over 13 000kW of thermal storage. Capitec will be saving
over a million Rands worth in electricity,” says Wayne.
Many of the products were on display at the venue,
giving guests the opportunity to have a look and feel. Sales
representatives were also present to share more information
about the products. RACA
