VISITS DRY ICE FACILITY

SAIRAC Port Elizabeth had a site visit to Dry Ice International in February and what
an interesting experience it was.

everything gets recycled and re-used. Dry ice can be used
in a multitude of aspects for example, keeping perishables
cold or frozen during load shedding, special effects, and so
much more.
There is also an industrial use for this product for the cleaning
of stators and rotors, sponge blasting, and so on. RACA
group of 10 members went through the factory. We were
taken through the factory by a very enthusiastic chief
technician, Herman van der Neut. The arrangements were made
with Ansie van Vuuren, the company receptionist.
Van der Neut showed and explained to us the whole
process and also told us that nothing goes to waste,
