“A Representative of SARACCA shall visit the SDP's
Training Facility to evaluate the facility to ensure
that the minimum criteria is met. On approval of the
Application, an Accreditation Certificate shall be issued
to the SDP.”
Basson also shared some insight on how to be an
Authorised Refrigeration Gas Practitioner. As South
Africa has ratified the Kigali Amendment to the
Montreal Protocol, Basson motivated, “As a signatory
Country to the Montreal Protocol, South Africa has the
obligation to abide by the requirements as set out by
the Montreal Protocol and its amendments to ensure
that all persons handling refrigerants are trained in
the safe use and understand the requirements and
responsibilities regarding the phase out of banned
refrigerants (CFCs) and the phase out of HFCs.” RACA
The course has material that assists in the professional dealing of different refrigerants
found in the industry.
