LCE TAKES ON GAUTENG
REGION THROUGH NEW BRANCH

With seven years under the belt and a team who has collectively over 80 years of experience , expanding their footprint was the next step for Lombard Consulting Engineers ( LCE ).
Having established the business in 2014 through a joining of forces between Brian Woolls-King and David Lombard as managing director , the business has seen the further onboarding of two new directors from the company ’ s head office in Durbanville , Cape Town . It was in January of this year
Amaré Schütte will head up the new Gauteng branch and has over two decades of experience .
David Lombard , managing director of LCE notes that in part their success to date includes their philosophy to provide each client with a personal touch through direct engagement of the company directors .
RACA Journal I March 2022 that they opened their new branch in Centurion , Gauteng , with Amaré Schütte heading up the new unit .
Schütte has over two decades of experience as a mechanical engineer and has extensive experience in design , supervision , and project management , making her the ideal candidate to join the LCE team in this role . Schütte had worked in collaboration with David Lombard for many years prior to LCE ’ s establishment .
In a time when many businesses are experiencing several pressures under the conditions of the current environment , and downscaling , expanding a business would be seen as a great leap .
According to Lombard , what influenced this step was that during the challenging times the Covid-19 pandemic presented , the company had to find ways to stay afloat and adapt to the ‘ new normal ’. Being a provider of essential engineering services to the healthcare industry , they were fortunate enough to open this new branch to explore opportunities in the Gauteng region where the potential market share is proportionately greatest in the country .
“ Our work ethic also helped us advance to this step . We go the extra mile and deliver solutions in the client ' s best interest . We strive to build long-term relationships with clients that are built on trust and superior service . In the long term , this pays off and enables us to excel . Once you excel as a business , there is scope for growth . It has also always been one of our goals to open an office in the North . The new office therefore positions the company to expand our mechanical and electrical engineering services to clients in this part of the country . We will continue to deliver beyond expectations because we are the company where passion meets precision . We will work hard to claim our fair market share and make this new office a striving entity as we have built in our head office region . Once the new office is successful and running smoothly , there is again space for further growth ”, Lombard says .
LCE has , over the years , established themselves as mechanical and electrical experts in the healthcare , commercial , institutional , and data centre sectors where they have continued a successful trajectory , in part , also owing to their use of state-of-the-art computer-aided design software such as Revit and ETAP to provide clients with enhanced , costeffective , and sustainable engineering solutions and designs .
