‘OPTYMA-L’ TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Danfoss has released inverter variable speed technology versions of its
Optyma Plus packaged condensing units.
The Optyma Plus Inverter with variable speed scroll compressor
and drive deliver the best Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio (SEPR)
on the market for refrigeration applications in medium temperatures
for cooling capacities ranging from 2 to 9kW.
Offering a wide stepless capacity modulation ranging from 30 to
100Hz, Optyma Plus Inverter enables tight temperature control to
within ±0.3°C.
Danfoss inverter scroll technology allows from 20 to 30%
higher energy efficiency for medium temperature refrigeration
applications compared to fixed-speed or mechanically modulated
condensing units.
The permanent magnet motor, inverter-driven modulation,
intermediate compressor discharge valves, together with
the micro-channel condenser contribute to a SEPR of 3.84, a
performance level certified by ASERCOM for R407F. Optyma Plus
UP THE ANTE
Carel’s range of pCO programmable controllers for the
management of HVAC/R applications and systems has been
extended with the addition of High-Speed controllers providing
a faster response to the efficiency of HVAC/R systems which
translates into faster unit set-up.
The calculation speed of the pCO5+ HS means it can respond
more quickly and precisely to variations in the main unit input
values (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.).
pCO5+ HS guarantees compatibility with the entire range
of pCO3 and pCO5 controllers, in terms of both hardware and
software. Furthermore, Carel can be used to load the binary files
onto the new pCO5+ HS.
The pCO5+ HS makes the controller ideal for:
• Chillers
• Process chillers
• Data centres
has been developed to operate with R404A alternatives R407A
and R407F.

WELL COUPLED
Available in a variety of configurations, SKF’s range of Disc Couplings
provide affordable, lubrication-free service in medium to high torque
applications that require torsional rigidity.
These innovative Couplings feature two hubs and a laminated
stainless-steel disc pack secured by a series of fitted bolts retained by
nylon insert lock nuts. With a capacity range up to 178kNm in a variety
of configurations including single disc, double disc and spacer for
both horizontal and vertical mounting, these Couplings deliver several
benefits to a vast selection of applications.
SKF Disc Couplings encompass hub pilot bores to simplify boring
to requirements. This brings cost effective high performance to a
range of applications and industries that use direct drive fan drives,
pumps and compressors, refrigeration (compressors) and marine.
