Because of the Easter holidays, the SAIRAC Johannesburg technical talk in
April happened a bit earlier, gathering members and guests at the Fourways
Airconditioning offices to talk about their product selection.

he South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning (SAIRAC) held its meeting on 11 April at the
Fourways offices in Honeydew.
Everyone was reminded of the upcoming Dreosti Memorial
Lectures in June as well as the upcoming centre courses.
Thinus du Plessis of Fourways was the main speaker of the
evening, sharing a brief history of the company. Wil Jansen,
sales director of Fourways AC, then shared more background
on the company, which is in its 20th year this year. He spoke
about the company’s vision and mission, mentioning that they
recently opened a Mauritius branch.
Du Plessis then looked at the various product ranges
offered by Fourways AC, including their variable refrigerant
flow (VRF) range, air handling units, hydro units, control
solutions, chillers, and heat pumps.
He shared some videos on how the technology works,
looking at different applications. He also looked at some
project case studies where the technology was used.
After the talk, everyone was invited to join the Fourways AC
team for a tour of their impressive warehouse. RACA
