News LUFT INDUSTRIES ACQUIRES TLT ACTOM W hen TLT Actom in Germany decided to restructure the company in line with its TLT Turbo operation and get rid of its HVAC fans division in December 2018, Luft Industries acquired the local business, including all its staff. So what does this mean for both TLT Actom and Luft Industries? Luft Industries has built up a network of customers in the Gauteng province over the years and this has proven to be a huge success. The ex-TLT Actom sales staff, who now make up the Gauteng branch of Luft Industries, are highly experienced and will now continue to help grow the customer base. The Gauteng branch of Luft Industries will also carry stock of all product lines to facilitate same-day collections/deliveries by its customers in Gauteng. Although the offices and stores of the Luft Industries branch in Gauteng are currently in the same location as the old TLT Actom operation in Driehoek Germiston, there are no links to Actom (and its branding) anymore. The Luft Industries branch in Gauteng is primarily a sales office with stores, while all manufacturing and distribution takes place from the head office and factory in Durban, so only the sales and stores staff were retained during this acquisition. Nuno Pereira is now the branch manager of the Luft Industries branch in Gauteng, Jan Jacobs and Dion van der Walt are external/ internal sales, and Zakhele Khwalo is responsible for stores and branch administration. Although FläktWoods products are no longer manufactured locally, Luft have retained some of the stock of both finished goods and components. The long-standing relationship between Fläktwoods and the ex-employees of TLT Actom remains, and should there be a need for imported Fläktwoods products, they will be able to assist with this. “Luft Industries Natal has boasted excellent service and deliveries for the last four decades and still practises this today,” says Anton Jansen of Luft Industries. Trucks leave every day from Durban destined for Johannesburg and three times a week to Cape Town. Other destinations are also on the daily delivery schedules. “Luft Fans prices have always been very competitive with a large product range to support this. We look forward to meeting many new clients throughout South Africa,” he concludes. RACA Luft Industries has acquired TLT Actom in Gauteng, expanding its operation and national reach.
