I4 GROUP HOSTS GOLF DAY TO UNDERSCORE RE-BRANDING

By Eamonn Ryan
The i4 Group hosted a well-supported 2nd annual golf day for its business partners .

Group business development manager Darren Black organised the event and explained the motivation for the day as being “ to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment for our clients and partners to interact with us and each other ”.

Golf is a popular sport among its target audience - a great opportunity for networking and building relationships . “ Our recent golf day event was not just about enjoying a game of golf . It was an opportunity for us to reconnect with our clients and express our gratitude for their continued support . It was also an opportunity to showcase i4 ’ s approach to the market by serving as a platform to introduce our image , demonstrating that we are here to stay and thrive . We wanted to let our clients know that we are no longer just a group of companies focused on manufacturing and distribution , but instead , our core focus is on providing excellent services and solutions directly to the end clients .
“ In the past , our various brands operated independently , often competing against each other . However , we realised that this approach was limiting our potential . To stay relevant and meet the evolving needs of the market , we knew we had to evolve as well . Our aim with this rebranding initiative was to emphasise that we can offer a complete solution to clients as a unified group that can provide seamless and tailored products and services for any application .
“ This new approach has been made possible by the integration of our manufacturing and distribution activities . Our manufacturing side produces panels that are then populated with various switchgear options , including Siemens and Distech . This integration allows us to create distinct and customised solutions for our clients ,” explained Black .
The house was packed .
“ The market has shifted , and we understand that relying solely on one brand is no longer sustainable . The South African market , like markets worldwide , demands diversification . We are committed to meeting this demand by expanding our product range and diversifying our offerings .
We believe that reiterating our presence in the industry through events like the golf day allows us to strengthen our relationships with clients and solidify our position as a trusted partner .”
The golf day format enabled numbers to be limited to 144 players , ensuring that only select individuals from each company had the privilege of participating . “ This exclusivity created a sense of anticipation and desire to be part of the event , driving the success of its marketing exercise ,” said Black .
Currently comprised of three companies – iLED who offers Premium imported HVAC equipment such as Distech as well as locally manufactures eZI controls IO modules and FCU to meet the ever-changing costs of our world . ZUD who is the sole distributor for Siemens BP INT in Southern Africa and iLED which is ISO accredited and manufactures Siemens Sivacon and other high spec panels , Data Racks and much more . “ Looking ahead , we are moving into the African market to be able to supply clients across Africa the same products and service our South African clients have been receiving for years . Its an exciting adventure ahead of us however we are ready to embrace the challenge ,” said Black RACA
