LUNCHEON FOR SAIRAC
DURBAN CENTRE FELLOWS
On Friday the 28th of October , SAIRAC Durban hosted their annual fellows lunch at Grimaldis restaurant , Durban Country Club .
The lunch was an opportunity for all of us in the industry to give thanks and to honour those fellows who have shaped and moulded our industry into what it has become today .
The event kicked off with Durban centre chairman Mr Gordon Banks thanking all for attending and then handing the floor over to guest speaker , a founding member of the SAIRAC branch in Durban , Mr Chris Elston who shared a bit of history and what it was like way back then in 1967 when the Durban branch was formed .
It was very inspiring to hear how different things were way back then as well as how passionate they were about industry talks and training . His speech was very interesting and had everyone captivated .
Lunch was then served , and the Grimaldis restaurant didn ’ t disappoint . With a view of the sea in the distance people ate and shared discussions and information with one another all the while reminiscing on the good old industry days .
After lunch the Durban chairman delivered a note of thanks to all the fellows and those that joined to honour them . A personalised gift of appreciation was then awarded to each fellow in attendance . The chairman then re-emphasised that the purpose of SAIRAC was to disseminate information and knowledge within the refrigeration and air conditioning industry . All attendees were invited to get involved within the scope of what SAIRAC stands for and some good connections were established for future involvement at the Durban branch . RACA
