Victaulic’s FireLock IGS Style V9 Sprinkler Coupling and Grooved Sprinklers
have not only eased the manner and speed in which fire protection systems are
installed but offer increased job site safety and system confidence.
A single bolt makes up the joining of the innovative coupling design, which
in turn is fitted onto sprinklers with a connection size of 12.7mm, 19.05mm
or 25.4mm, and transitions to 25.4mm allowing for the standardisation of
25.4mm IGS outlets making the project easier to plan, design and weld. The
simplification of the coupling leads to simplified installation, which increases
not only on-site job safety, but allows for ease of maintenance in the future.

THERMAL
INSPECTIONS
SIMPLIFIED
FLIR Systems introduces the FLIR T860, the latest addition to the T-Series
family. This new thermal camera is the first to feature onboard Inspection
Route software, ideal for streamlining inspections of critical assets,
including facility electrical and mechanical systems. By running a pre-
planned route through the camera, thermal inspectors can spend less time
in the field and face less hassle when creating survey reports.
The thermal camera includes advanced measurement tools such
as one-touch level/span and laser-assisted autofocus, which helps
users quickly find problems and make critical decisions. It also features
an onboard routing system that works with the FLIR Thermal Studio
advanced reporting software to create numbered, labelled inspection
routes that users can create from the camera. This system allows users to
record temperature data, thermal, and visual imagery in a logical sequence
for faster troubleshooting and repair.

FANS
Low profile ‘mixed-flow’ fans from Elta Group come with
sound-absorbent insulation and are extremely quiet. It also has
a specially-designed internal skin to direct the sound waves at
the right angle for them to be captured by sound-absorbent
material. Fitted with flexible rubber seals on the inlet and outlet
to absorb vibrations, with an external connection box, the body
can be removed without dismantling the adjacent ducting and
therefore facilitates any installation or maintenance.
Suitable for any kind of ventilation application where
the noise level of the ventilation system is of a particular
importance and due to continuous operation, a significant
energy saving is desirable. It is also suitable for applications
that require a demand-controlled ventilation system involving
the use of other sensors or controls.
