LG REIGNITES
SOUTH AFRICAN BRAND

To strengthen their local brand offering, LG invited guests to a night of
style and reignition.
H
eld at the stylish Urban Tree in Sandton, LG Electronics
South Africa sought to redefine their place in the market.
Upon registration and entry, a mini exhibition of the latest
product offerings from their different divisions were on display.
Guests had the opportunity to see them in operation.
To kick things off, a video featuring some of LG’s values,
locations, factories, innovations, CSI initiatives, projects, work
ethic and product offerings was played.
Esteemed conference entertainment speaker, Mark Dio was
the master of ceremonies. Managing director, DS Ahn, welcomed
everyone. He shared that the company is worth USD50-billion and
still has plans to expand its global footprint. “We are an innovative
company that aims to provide efficiency and convenience to
our customers.” Optimistic about the future, he shared more
about the expansion, adding that clients can expect investment

initiatives related to their product offering. “We are strengthening
our brand in South Africa and are further creating a reliable, true,
long standing partnership,” he said.
After giving a short business introduction, director for the
Middle East and Africa Air Solution division, Ken Jeong detailed
exactly what the company is changing for the Southern African
region. “Our main objective is to be number one again in the
country. We have implemented various strategies to make this
happen,” he shared. Some of the strategies include on-time
delivery that sees inventory coming in from the Netherlands
instead of Korea. This will mean that delay times will be
minimised as inventory will be supplied faster. Upskilling of
engineers, sales consultants and service operators to ensure best
aftersales support in every area. Joeng mentions that LG has close
to 100 partners in the region to make this happen.
