Projects • • • • • • • The dual functions on the smoke exhaust systems shall be PLC controlled using fire rated motorised damper systems and shall form part of the HVAC contract. In case of a fire situation the retail shops shall be protected from each other by means of fusible link fire dampers, in cases where the ducting of adjacent shops or offices are joined up. FA ventilation shall be provided with a combination of DX fresh air fan filter units and fan coil heat recovery type fan filter units. Where there is enough AC spaces involved the exhausted air will be ducted to an enthalpy wheel type heat recovery unit for energy recovery and pre-treatment of the fresh air supply. The FA makeup system for the kitchen hoods shall be equipped with an evaporative cooling intake system to incorporate an evaporative cooling effect into the building so as to reduce the heat load from ambient air during the summer months. Extraction shall be provided in certain areas by means of localised and centralised extraction systems. The toilet blocks shall be provided with separate extraction systems and the control of the fans by means of a building management system (BMS) controllers shall form part of the HVAC installation. Weather louvers shall be provided in the outside walls to ensure adequate fresh air. Door grilles shall also be provided to each area where extraction is provided. All wall and door louvers will be done by others. 1 2 3 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION As the Facility will have stalls that function independently, the HVAC billing thereof (electricity) also had to take this into account.
