Events and Exhibitions EXHIBITORS SIGNING UP FOR FRIGAIR 2021 AGAIN As the exhibitor sign-up for the FRIGAIR 2021 expo starts gaining momentum, SAIRAC committee member, Grant Laidlaw gives insight on what to expect. We also catch up with exhibitors getting ready for it. “ AFRICA’S LARGEST HEATING, VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING, SAIRAC together with Interact Media EVENT produced the 2018 REFRIGERATION & ENERGY EXPO FRIGAIR Expo, the most successful expo ever held for the Heating, Energy, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilation industry. For the FRIGAIR 2021 expo we have taken cognisance of industry expectations as well as lessons learned from previous expos. As SAIRAC we have had, of late, considerable interaction with our international counterparts and have had exposure to the latest trends in industry. SAIRAC and its members are at the forefront with regards to the development and utilisation of new technologies and strategies. In addition, our industry is currently undergoing considerable evolutionary change which makes for exciting times. “There is a planned increase in the scope and size of the FRIGAIR conference as well as participation by ASHRAE. Thus, the stage is set, the 2021 FRIGAIR expo promises again to raise the bar, exceed expectations and be the ‘must-attend’ event on the HERVAC calendar. “In fact, I am tempted to say: can you afford not to be there?”, he says. “The FRIGAIR expo remains without doubt the premier event of its kind on the African Calendar. The FRIGAIR expo offers the best platform available to connect with industry and clients, form new friendships and rekindle old ones, view the latest trends and technologies and to showcase our latest www.hvacronline.co.za products and services. ACRA will be exhibiting the latest trends in training and assessment including the apprenticeship and adult training available against the new qualifications as well as the latest trade testing processes and procedures. We will be offering career guidance and advice to persons currently in our industry as well as to new entrants. The 2018 show, from our perspective was the best expo of its kind held in South Africa thus far, drawing visitors and exhibitors from both local and international parties. We look forward to interacting with industry, visitors and exhibitors allowing ACRA a platform to showcase training development, the training available against the latest air conditioning and refrigeration qualifications for apprenticeships and adult courses. Exposure to the latest trends and technologies further enable ACRA to keep training current and valid.” Grant Laidlaw (ACRA). “We found that our exposure from FRIGAIR 2018 was extremely beneficial. We managed to secure some very lucrative orders from leads generated directly from the expo. What we will be exhibiting will be a surprise but what I can say is that we have some new, very advanced technology that focuses on energy and water saving to an even greater extent than before. FRIGAIR 2018 was a very well-organised expo, that attracted all the relevant industry professionals. We look forward to showcasing as well as viewing all the latest technology in the industry.” Garid Glenn (Baltimore Aircoil Company). Continued on page 15 RACA Journal I February 2020 13
