Premium Airconditioning, a prominent distributor of HVAC units and accessories in South Africa, recently celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of its sixth branch. A buzz of excitement filled the air in Centurion as Premium Airconditioning, a leading distributor of HVAC units and accessories in South Africa, officially opened the doors to its sixth branch – a significant milestone in the company ' s remarkable journey of expansion and success. The celebratory event brought together industry leaders, valued suppliers, dedicated staff and loyal customers, all united to mark this moment.
ACKNOWLEDGING THE HEART OF THE BUSINESS: THE CUSTOMER
Owners Jozua and Pierre Joubert painted a vivid picture of Premium ' s origins and ascent, acknowledging that the company ' s current success would be impossible without its most vital asset: the customer.
" Without a customer, a business is just a hobby, and this is no hobby," Pierre stated, expressing profound gratitude for the strong relationships built on mutual support and guidance over the years, especially within the challenging South African economy and HVAC industry.
Guests were taken on a nostalgic journey, reminiscing about Premium ' s humble beginnings in a 200m2 building in Silverton, Pretoria. From supplying the local market, the company embarked on an ambitious expansion in 2019, opening its first branch in Johannesburg just two days before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Undeterred, Premium continued its growth: Ballito( 2021), Cape Town( 2022), Polokwane( 2023) and the flagship warehouse and branch in Centurion( 2025).
OPERATIONAL SCALE AND FUTURE PLANS Today, Premium boasts six operational branches nationwide, with plans for two more in 2026. It employs 58 dedicated staff and operates across 7 500m ² of warehousing space, with 801 active product line items and 593 account holders. In the past year alone, Premium has imported 28 containers of HVAC spares via its robust supply chain and market demand.
Pierre expressed heartfelt appreciation to the foundational pillars of Premium ' s success. He thanked his parents for laying the " solid groundwork " that enabled such significant expansion, acknowledging their tireless efforts. They lauded the entire Premium team for their daily commitment and hard work. A special word of thanks was extended to Charné, whose dedication and coordination were key to bringing the Centurion launch together and making the event memorable.
STRONG SUPPLIER PARTNERSHIPS
Echoing these sentiments, Jozua took the opportunity to commend Premium ' s valued suppliers, especially LG and Midea.“ Their ongoing support, commitment to quality and partnership have been instrumental in Premium ' s growth.” Specific thanks were extended to Mr Kim( MD of LG), Mr Jung( CFO of LG), and Patrick( LG product director), whose behind-the-scenes efforts have
