Despite the challenges facing the South African economy the construction and property development sectors in the Western Cape, where most of our current projects are underway, is performing well. Which means our contribution to the local economy and the communities in the area will continue,” says Stefan Sander, TOAC CEO. “TOAC was established in 1996 and has expanded operations to include duct fabrication and maintenance in its range of services, which created new job opportunities and supported the company’s continuous growth. As the demands of property developers, building owners and ultimately the occupants of buildings change, we constantly adapt our offering with the use of innovative technologies. This delivers on-going learning and development opportunities for our team,” Sander says. To achieve level 3 B-BBEE status the company achieved a full score for what is required for the ownership element and performs better than required in terms of procurement and supplier development. Beyond the jobs created at TOAC and providing continuous education and upskilling programmes for our team, our drive to use BEE-rated suppliers for procurement has benefited several other companies and their employees,” Sander adds. Projects currently underway include the installation of HVAC solutions at the Sable Corner commercial development in Century City, Cape Town, the Jan Mouton Learning Centre at the University of Stellenbosch and 35 Lower Long Street in the Cape Town CBD.
