TOAC ACHIEVES LEVEL
3 B-BBEE STATUS
ndustrial HVAC engineering company Two Oceans Air
Conditioning (TOAC) achieved level 3 B-BBEE status.
This confirms the company’s commitment to making a
meaningful contribution to the advancement of the South
African economy through innovation and adoption of the
latest technologies at large scale commercial, mixed-use and
industrial construction projects.
Achieving level 3 B-BBEE status is confirmation of our
dedication to contribute to economic growth, drive skills
development and deliver on our strategy of inclusion. Despite the
challenges facing the South African economy the construction and
property development sectors in the Western Cape, where most
of our current projects are underway, is performing well. Which
means our contribution to the local economy and the communities
in the area will continue,” says Stefan Sander, TOAC CEO.
“TOAC was established in 1996 and has expanded operations
to include duct fabrication and maintenance in its range of
services, which created new job opportunities and supported
the company’s continuous growth. As the demands of property
developers, building owners and ultimately the occupants of
buildings change, we constantly adapt our offering with the use
of innovative technologies. This delivers on-going learning and
development opportunities for our team,” Sander says.
To achieve level 3 B-BBEE status the company achieved a
full score for what is required for the ownership element and
performs better than required in terms of procurement and
supplier development. TOAC also achieved high scores for skills
development and socio-economic development.

“Skills transfer is very important for the development of any
company but especially important as a driver of economic
growth. Beyond the jobs created at TOAC and providing
continuous education and upskilling programmes for our
team, our drive to use BEE-rated suppliers for procurement
has benefited several other companies and their employees,”
Sander adds.
Projects currently underway include the installation of HVAC
solutions at the Sable Corner commercial development in
Century City, Cape Town, the Jan Mouton Learning Centre at the
University of Stellenbosch and 35 Lower Long Street in the Cape
Town CBD. RACA
