1: Do you use any of the products that test on animals? Nope, none of us here at peta2 use any products that were tested on animals. We all only shop cruelty-free – it’s part of being vegan!
2: Can you explain the process of rabbit testing? In these tests, animals like rabbits are forced to inhale chemicals until they become sick or die, restrained tightly while chemicals are dripped into their eyes, or immobilized and have caustic substances smeared onto their bare skin. In most cases, these animals must suffer through these horrors without any pain relief! More than 240,000 rabbits are used and often killed in these experiments each year.
3: Who is testing on the rabbits? I saw horrifying videos of animal testing, and I stopped using products that were tested on animals immediately. I felt so sick to know that I was contributing to their torture and killing.
4: Do many people know about rabbit testing and how many rabbits are dieing because of it? Sometimes simply talking to people is super effective! My personal favorite way is educating people through social media because the vast majority of people use it. It’s a quick and easy way to spread awareness, and all you have to do is post a video or a link. It’s important to remember that SO many people are unaware of what happens to animals in animal testing, so something as simple as posting a video can make a HUGE difference!
