Quincy Area Family Magazine QAF Issue 3 | Page 3

A LETTER From the Editor Issue 3 is here and we have SO much amazing content to share. I am really excited about the number of submissions we received. In the last 6 weeks we have received family submissions from local photographers, stories from families and new advertiser inquiries. We are thrilled to have created a space where our stories can be shared and celebrated! Don’t miss QMG’s tips healthy aging on p 16. Lifelong health requires effort, focus and loving support. On p 10 you can peak into the lives of a local mom and son whose family members have been cared for by Dr. Scott for generations. I love this piece because it showcases how close this community is. We also received a flooding of articles from local foster parents about their experiences and their struggles. It is inspiring to see what lovingly determined heroes we have living among us. Don’t miss Anna Whaley’s article on p 32. In it she includes answers to some FAQs and outlines ways we can all get involved in supporting our fellow citizens involved with foster care. I hope we are all a bit wiser and kinder after reading. Be sure to head to qafmagazine.com to see our blog with even more information that Anna provides. We have some great family features this issue and submissions from photographers showing generations of families. It is amazing to see so many people telling their stories, and sharing their work. If you have a story tell, or want to feature your family, visit our website or say “hi” on Facebook and Instagram. We are eager to continue the dialog and spread the love!
