Alison and Andrew
Andy and I met on the notorious Bumble! We spoke
for a couple days through the app before Andy asked
me on our first date. We went to the Des Moines Zoo
Brew where we saw the animals, had some beers, and
later met up with Andy’s brother and his girlfriend
(now wife). The first date must have gone well be-
cause we scheduled our second date for the following
night. The rest, as you know, is history. Andy pro-
posed on Easter Sunday. After we enjoyed Easter in
Quincy, IL.We drove back to our home in Ankeny,
IA. Upon arrival, Andy insisted on giving me my
Easter present. Inside the Easter Basket was a stuffed
bunny, my favorite candies, Easter decor, face masks
(my favorite thing to do before bed), and a puzzle.
Once the puzzle was put together, there was acollage
of pictures of us together and it spelled out “Make
me the happiest man in the world! Will You Marry
Me?” at the bottom. Andy got down on one knee in
our home, with our puppies, and just the two of us
and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! Our
wedding is scheduled for March 14th, 2020 in Des
Moines, IA. We decided to do our engagement photos
in our home in Ankeny, IA. We have been updating
this house for the past six months and are extreme-

ly proud of it. I We wanted to take photos in a
place that meant something to us, that we were
comfortable in, and that our dogs could be.
