L OV E from Sara.. It’s crazy how life works out sometimes. Kyle and I met at one of my weddings in 2017. My mother was helping me at this partic- ular wedding and after the bridal party arrived at the reception he not only asked her if I was single, but if he could ask me out! It felt like our wedding brought everything full circle with a wedding day full of family and beautiful memories. And the way we met was brought up more than once during toasts! As a wedding planner I have spent a lot of time daydreaming about this day. From the very start of our planning we knew three things; we wanted to our day to be family oriented, our guests to feel spoiled and for our design to be as unique to us as possible. Our pup’s name is Lemon, if that gives you a hint about the theme we chose! Our bridal party was made up almost entirely of family, we loved being surrounded by our siblings and cousins the entire day. I wore rings that belonged to each grandmother on our wedding day and at the rehearsal. I also carried a silk clutch from Paris that was my grandmother’s and our wedding day was my grandfather’s 89th birthday. continue on p. 29 local experts: W EDDING PLANNER: Sara Elizabeth Weddings; Quincy, IL; PHOTOGRAPHER: Courtney Dueppengiesser Photography; Quincy, IL; VIDEOGRAPHER: The Film Jar; Quincy, IL; FLORIST: LAVISH FLORAL DESIGN; Quincy, IL; STATIONERY: LO InLondon; Quincy, IL; CAKE: HyVee on Broadway; 27
