Customize your Cocktails

Move over monograms and floral robes . A custom drink at your cocktail hour or wedding reception is going strong as a top trend for your big day ! It ’ s no surprise given that there are so many options for color , taste , accessories , names , printed menus , stations and garnishes . They offer a great way to incorporate your style as a couple and the theme for your day . Not just for adults or alcohol drinkers , “ mocktails ” and lemonades can make even your little guests smile . With so many options out there , we ’ ve put together a short list to help you finalize your libations .

DRINKS YOU KNOW If you or your sweetheart already have a drink you love , consider adding a special element and naming it after yourselves . Enter : the SAMhattan , or the ELSArita .
PAINT THE RAINBOW ( OR YOUR WEDDING COLORS ) Go wild ! There are so many ways to incorporate vibrant colors in cocktails and mocktails . Use nectars and juices rich in nutrients and color . Add garnishes of berries or edible flowers for added hues and texture .
CHECK THE MENU What foods are you serving ? Choose drinks that go well with the food . A bourbon drink paired with a steak or a sangria paired with stuffed mushrooms will round out your guests ’ experience .
REMEMBER THE TWO T ’ S : TEMPERATURE AND TEXTURE OK , we just made that “ two T ’ s ” thing up , but they are important because they help create the setting . Imagine a frozen slushy on a hot sunny day made in your wedding colors with a fun straw . Or maybe a smooth warm Hot Toddy served in mugs on a brisk fall day .

DRINKS NEAR YOU Do you live near a vineyard ? Is there a brewery that has a seasonal draft ? Try to incorporate local businesses .
MIND THE SEASON Let ’ s stay away from pumpkin spice martinis in summer . Think of what is in season for tastes and garnishes .
SERVE IN STYLE Create a cool pallet bar with a pendant banner and some fun signage , or a garnish bar with marshmallows and cinnamon sticks for hot chocolate . Where you serve the drinks only enhances the experience .
Our girl Sara , of Sara Reddick Events , is coming in hot with a recap and sharing some of her favorite design elements created for her past clients !
