LOVE

Macy and I met in May 2014 when we started our job at Chaddock in Quincy , IL . We instantly connected through similar personal interests as well as sharing the same passion in the mental health field . Our relationship progressed as Macy left for St . Louis to get her Master ’ s degree in Social Work .
Once Macy graduated and became established as a licensed therapist , we agreed to take our relationship to the next level . Macy expressed early on how she wanted our wedding to include all our family and friends and be a big celebration . In the midst of a pandemic , things were rather challenging to plan for a wedding as we didn ’ t know what venues would remain open , the maximum capacity limits , etc .
However , with over a year to plan , we moved along gracefully with the help of good friends and Macy ’ s family to articulate the fine details that went into our beautiful day . We were married at Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ on July 24th , 2021 . Moving forward , Macy continued taking classes in her Doctoral program as we simultaneously plan to extend our family .
