LOCAL LOVE : Kristi + Andrew

LOCAL

Andrew and Kristi first met in 2014 through a mutual
friend . They were both in other relationships at that time , so they remained friends and kept in touch over the next several years . In 2019 , Kristi reached out to Andrew to ask if he would be interested in going out to dinner . He was single but not ready for a relationship . They talked on a regular basis for about six months until Andrew was ready to take the next step . For Kristi , it was love at first sight ; she fell head over heels for Andrew . Within the first 6 months of their relationship , she knew he was the one she wanted to be with for the rest of her life . Andrew had a more practical view and took the relationship slow . Kristi remembers the day Andrew first said the words “ I love you .” It was on February 2 , 2020 . It was a euphoric feeling for her so she asked him to say it again . She knew at that moment her life was changing for the better .
On December 22 , 2020 , on the way to Grandma ’ s house , Andrew sat a ring next to Kristi while she was driving and asked her to be his wife . Of course , she said yes ! They were both elated to tell their friends and family the news of the engagement .
They got married on June 26 , 2021 at Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy by Chuck Sackett . Friends and family gathered to celebrate at the Atrium in Quincy for dinner by Fat Backs of Quincy , cupcakes by Julina Kirby , and DJ by Ray Meyer of Ursa . They celebrated their honeymoon in Nashville for a few day . Then they finally moved in together . Kristi has 2 children , so the 4 of them finally had a home together and felt like a family again .
