Q : I want to have an under the sea theme with a blue dress and a hint of purple . My mom on the other hand wants me to have a traditional quinceañera and wear an all-white dress just like she did . I DON ' T KNOW WHAT TO DO !
A : It ’ s important for you to feel confident in every way possible for your quinceanera . You don ' t have to follow tradition to feel like you ' re doing something right . It ’ s your special day and you should be able to have an input . If you ' re scared that going against your mom ' s request will hurt her feelings , it won ' t trust me . Talk with your mom , that will help her understand where you ' re coming from and she will be happy you opened up to her about it .
