Ingredients & Directions
• Use 1 cup of any uncooked white rice and 2 cinnamon sticks
• The milk base comes from 1 can each of evaporated milk and condensed milk . This is what gives the horchata a wonderful flavor and creamy consistency .
• If the condensed milk does not make it sweet enough for you , you can add more sugar to taste .
• Ground cinnamon to garnish ( optional )
• 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla ( optional ) – Just don ’ t use too much vanilla as we don ’ t want to overpower the cinnamon & rice flavor .
• Stir in the milk , vanilla ( optional ), and 4 cups of water . Stir well .
• Taste and add more sugar or water if needed .
